Hi - I was wondering if there were any safe OTC Fat Burners that could be taken while on Synthroid? I take .88 Synthroid for Hashimoto's Thyroiditis (have for many years, about 12 yrs). I've got a wedding to attend in 2 months and was looking for a boost to my diet and exercise program but only if it's safe! THX!

Most of the OTC "Fat Burners" contain some sort of herbal product which ends up being a stimulant and should not be taken since you are being treated for thyroid disease. I would recommend that you talk to your doctor about an appropriate diet and exercise program and see if he/she has any recommendations since your doctor knows your complete history.
