Question
How llong would it take for half of a methodone 10 mg pill to exit your system and not show up in UA?

Answer
The half life of methadone is 24 to 36 hours in patients with normal liver and kidney function.  For a drug to be undetectable a general rule is that you must allow for 5 times the half life before the drug is out of your system.  If the person who took the methadone has normal liver and kidney function you are looking at about 120 to 180 hours or 5 to 8 days.  If the patient does NOT have normal kidney or liver function the half life can be up to 60 hours so you are looking at up to 300 hours or 12 to 13 days.

Thanks
