Subject: Flouxtine and pregnancy
Question Dear sir:
I am taking Flouxetine 20 MG.
I am planning to be pregnant?should I stop taking it ?if I continue taking this medication does it affect the baby?
Please I need your help.
Thanks a lot
Answer Hi Lamar,
The evidence is not conclusive regarding fluoxetine and its potential toxicity to the fetus. You must discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor and only then you can decide on wether you want to continue or stop fluoxetine.
Thank you for using Allexperts
Sincerely,
Eric Brandt, B.sc. Pharm
