Hello sir after a long time from India. I have query. I have Homocystein around 20. What is the correct dose of B-12 Folic Acid B1 B2 B6 Currently I am taking one Indiam brand which has following contents B12 1500 MCG Folic Acid-5 mg ALA 200 mg B1 10 mg B2 10 mg B6 10 mg. Is this ok or whether this is overdose. Kindly give me proprer guidance. With this drug my Homocystein is around 12-13 Thanks and Regards
Answer Dear Harsvadan
The best homocysteine levels are still vague but in general you do not want it above 20 as you have inferred. The range you are obtaining with your vitamin tablets is good but try to aim for about 10. You will not overdose easily with the brand you are taking ie do not swallow multiple tablets at once.
