Question Are the benefits of losartan and Ramipril ( Cardace ) similar or is there any deference. As a scholar of pharmacy, which drug do you prefer Ramipril or cozaar for hypertnesion with no underlying problem. Recently I went to my brother in law's place where he is a GP One internist friend came to see him As I have a hbp and on Tenormin losar 100 and norvasc 10 he suggested that cardace is a drug of his choice Was this a personal preference or indeed better drug ? Personally I have a preference for neither, however if the person has cough with ramipril I would use losartan. These are alternative drugs and we use the one which suits the patient best. Unfortunately we cannot tell which drug is likely to suit the patient, so we have to use a method of trial and error. Please continue your therapy, so far as see there is no problem and no need to change either.
