Question I am on the birth control pill and am out of refills on my prescription. Can I call my GYN and ask them to call in more refills to my pharmacy without me having to go in for an appointment?
Answer You can always call and ask, but they have no obligation to honor your request. They may give you enough until you can see the doctor, it just depends on the doctor's office policy. Most will usually give you enough until your appointment if you are a well established patient and do not make a habit of canceling appointments. Chances are if you are due for your annual exam, you will have to make and keep that appointment in the near future.
