Question QUESTION: hi there. i'm looking for a sleeping pill that will force me to sleep deeply and quickly. i dont want anything that i could get addicted to, although i'd use it on rare occasions anyhow. i'm concerned with side effects too... i'd hope to find a sleeping pill or something like that which wouldnt' make me sick or feel too groggy the next day. i work shift work and have trouble flipping back and forth from nights to days. i'd love to get a solid 8 hours of sleep, which is seemingly impossible with everything else i've already tried. i found imovane to be far too mild as an example. i just feel drunk with it. thanks for your help.
ANSWER: Hi Amanda,
I would recommend Alprazolam (xanax) or nitrazepam or lorazepam (ativan). However I know that these are controlled substances in some countries including the US. Since I do not knwo which country you reside it would not be possible for me to advice you how to get any one of these.

QUESTION: hello.. thanks for your quick answer. i live in canada. are these drugs not tranquilizers/anti-depressants? i'm worried about something like that for addiction reasons (dont' like to take things at all really) and i'm also a very light sleeper. would any of the things you recommended put me right out? thanks so much.
Answer Hi Amanda,
These drugs are tranquillizers (but not antidepressants) and they can be addictive. They would put you out very fast. There is another compound called melatonin, it is not addictive and can put one to sleep. Just check with your local chemist and they should be able to tell you if the drug is available in Canada.
