Expert: Eric Brandt Date: 4/21/2008 Subject: Folic Acid Deficiency
Question Is having the taste of metal in your mouth (for no reason), attributable to folic acid deficiency?
Answer Hi Tammy,
assuming you do not smoke, do not have a cold and have no injury to your mouth, a mettalic taste in the mouth can be caused by some medications (metronidazole) or vitamin b12 and zinc deficiency.
Thank you for using Allexperts
Sincerely,
Eric Brandt, B.Sc. Pharm
