Question I have been taking Tetralysal 300 (Tetracycline) for about 2years for mild acne/spots. I am 32 year old male. Could this drug cause me to have a loose my sex drive? I have always been very active but the last two years I have lost all intrest in sex totaly. I am fit and exercise regulary and have never had any problems before, recent tests I hade showed all my blood levels normal. It occoured to me that it could be related to this medicine as my loss of intrest in sex started shortly after starting the medication, what do you think?

I have not seen any report to link Tetralysal with sexual dysfuncton. Hence my first impression would be to search for another explanation for the same. However I do feel that two years on tetralysal could be mre than what is normally prescribed. Please check up if you have been taking this medicine continually or whether you are taking this a few weeks at a time. I really do not knwo the effects of long term use of this drug. But before we embark on a search for details let us be clear about the duration and dosage that has been used.
