Question I kind of am a heavy drinker. On friday and / or saturday i drink anywhere from 6-11 beers. Im a 126lb female. Im not currently on wellbutrin, but i was prescribed it for anxiety and depression. I was on wellbutrin a few years ago for about a year and i seemed fine. What are the common side-effects of a lot of alcohol while taking wellbutrin?
Answer Hi Brooke,
There is no problem with mild to moderate drinking along with Wellbutrin, but heavy drinking can cause a problem. Now there is no clear cut definition as to what is mild, moderate or heavy drinking. When you say beer, it is not clear what is the percentage of alcohol and what is the volume of a beer. In my country we have three types of beers, mild (4.5 to 6 %) strong (6 to 8 %) and Very strong (8 to 10 %) thus two mild beers are equal to one very strong beer. Additionally we have beers in 650 ml, and 500 ml bottles. I do not know what is the quantity in your beer, so it is very difficult to advice.
