Question What if youre anxiety is so bad you are afraid {paxil for example} will intesify the anxiety. Is it ok to use ativan and paxil together?
Answer Hi, Jennifer!
It' s really up to your doctor. If he/she feels you need both, it is alright. It would be safer to take the Paxil routinely and the Ativan on an as-needed basis, but not more than every 6 hours. You need to have your doctor clarify how much you should take-he/she knows your medical history, other medical problems, etc. See how you feel when taking both; the Ativan may make you drowsy, so I would not suggest driving anywhere the first time you take it. Hope this helps, Mary
