QUESTION: But how come I'm still getting Nauseated in my system and constant indigestion where I feel like I'm gonna puke but hasn't yet and having lot of gas in my system?Do you think Slenda sweetner and Soy milk could cause my problem too?

Answer
Dear Robert

Now that you have given me the symptoms I would say that this is not a drug-drug interaction but an adverse effect from most probably the metformin.  It may be difficult to substitute another drug for the metformin as it is essential that your diabetes is controlled properly. With repeated use these adverse effects may subside. Speak to your diabetologist about this if the symptoms are really worrying.

Your dietary products should not be a problem.

Regards

Dr Alan Galbraith
