Question I was given cutivate cream to put on my 5 month old baby for a mild form of eczema. My question is: I am putting it on her, can I absorb any of it? The reason I ask is because I am breastfeeding. I know it is a strange question but I am making sure it is ok.
Answer Hi Sue,
You may absorb a small amout of it but it is quickly metabolized. Your baby is exposed to more by applying the cream to the baby. You can avoid absorption to yoursel by applying the cream with a gloved finger.
Thank you for using Allexperts
Sincerely,
