I have personal experience dealing with terminally ill persons and their needs, as well as their families` needs. Prior to my pharmacy training I have 3 years hospital experience as a Nurse`s Aide.
Question I have an unopened bottle of cefuroxime axetil 250 mg but the date was 3/28/2006 would it just be weak or would it possibly hurt me to take it.
Answer I prescription of cefuroxime axetil that is nearly 3 years beyond its expiration date may has began to have chemical changes which could have altered the drug and made it into a different chemical substance altogether. It is impossible to know exactly what changes may have occured. I would not take the drug. It would be in your best interests to see your doctor for a new prescription.
