Question I recently had to have a hair folic test by CPS and it came back positive for drugs. I haven't used any drugs marijuana, cocaine or alcohol for 6 months and 13 days. I am however on Advair, albuterol, seroquel, doxepin,abilify,and ibuprofen 600. And recently went in for a biopsy. Can these medication show up as a positive for drug use and why? And does my ethnicity and hair growth have any effects on time period of testing?

I have received hundreds of letters like yours. So you are not the onl one with this problem. The trouble is that the tests are inaccurate and outright false. You should all fight this menace. Your ethnicity and growth of hair has nothing to do with the test, your resent medications are all innocuous and they should not make you positive to drugs of abuse.
