i showed to psychitirist 2 weeks ago he prescribed me escitalopram 10 mg once daily i am serving it , since starting this medicine i am feeling that my libido is developing which i lost from taking primox for 2 years, i am feeling very better with cipralex , my anxity has also reduced, my doctor told me that escitalopram is rarely effecting to libido , sir my question is that i have my marriage in january , can i have sex with my wife while on this medicine.

Hi MD,
While it is true that some SSRI caus loss of libido, not all the drugs do that. I would suggest that you decide whether the drug helps you or not. Even if there is some reduction of libido sex life is not usually affected. Therefore I would suggest that you go ahead and get married, mostly it will not affect you.
