Question
Is it okay to take Remeron 15 mg (mirtazapine) with an herbal supplement that contains the following:
L-Theanine 200 mg
5-Hydoxytrytophan 50 mg
Magnolia bark extract 30 mg
A Propietary Blend of Panax Ginseng root extract (5% ginsenosides)cordyceps extract, wild jujube seed extract, ashwagandha root extract, and rhodiola root extract the blend is 300 mg

Answer
Dear Judy

There are no reported interactions but there could possibly be a theoretical one with the hydroxytryptophan. If yopu take this and feel slight nausea, low grade fever I would not continue with this supplement. As I said it is a possibility but unlikely.
