Question Good morning! First off.. Go Purdue! My husband is a Purdue graduate. Anyways, on January 27 I had all four of my impacted wisdom teeth taken out. The surgeon prescribed me several medications to take afterwards including Methylprednisolone and Lortab. I was due to get my period on Saturday and it has yet to come. My questions is can either of these medications alter your menstrual cycle??
Answer Methylprednisolone can cause menstrual irregularities depending on the dose you took and the length of time you took it. I would still recommend that you take a pregnancy test to make sure you are not pregnant. If you are not pregnant and miss more than one period I would recommend you contact your doctor. Of course if you are pregnant you should contact your doctor as soon as possible.
