Answer Hi Crystal,

I went to university
2. What was your first "real" job?
I was a pharmacist for a drugstore chain doing relief work for vacationing pharmacists
3. How many jobs have you had since the first job and what were they?
I am now on my thirs job since graduating as a pharmacist
4. What career are you in now, and what is your exact job title?
I am a hospital pharmacist 5 days per week and I also work as a pharmacist in a retail drugstore
5. What is a typical day like in this job?
I fill prescriptions, check the technicians work, consult with other health care professionals, teach nursing students, review care plans and make care plan recommendations.
6. What personality traits are important in this job?
You need to be meticulously accurate and know where to find information if you do not have answers to questions posed to you by patients and other health care professionals
7. What work habits and skills are important in this job?
You need to be able to focus on the ask at hand and not allow yourself to be distracted by others. You need to genuinely care about other people's well being.
8. What are your favorite aspects of this job?
I get a great deal of satisfaction knowing that I am making a difference to other people's health

Yes. I consider having advanced my career from retail pharmacy to hospital pharmacy. That took additional training
13. What advice do you have for high school students about choosing a career?
It is a good idea to shadow a career you are interested in. for example you could spend a week in a drugstore observing the pharmcist or you could get a summer job in a drugstore.
14. If you could change one thing about your career path, what would it be?
I would not change anything other than maybe move into hospital pharmacy sooner than I did.
15. What else should I know about your field or job if I am considering it for myself?
You need to be good at math, chemistry, physics, physiology, anatomy
16. Anything else you would like to include.
