Question Hi
Whilst on holiday last week I came out in a red raised rash, with white spots all over my chin and neck area. Once I returned to England on Sunday I went to the hospital and was advised that I had had a reaction to something in the sun cream and give a 2 week prescription of Tetralysal 300 ( 2 tablets to be taken each day ).
Can you advise how long it will be until this starts clearing up and also if there is a best time of day to take them? I am very self concious of this and am beginning to feel very low about the sight of my face.
Any help/advise would be much appreciated
Thanks
Answer Hi Clare,
Tetralysal is a tetracycline antibiotic which is used to treat acne and certain infections. I do not fully understand it use for treating a rash unless it is infected or if you have rosacea.
If the rash is not better in a week you will need to see your doctor.
Take the pills first thing in the morning with a glass of water only.
Thank you for using Allexperts
Sincerely,
Eric Brandt, B.Sc. Pharm
