Question I was prescribed Xanax. I have read up on Xanax and it also can give someone what one article referred to as the "Xanax muchies" and others say it can really increase appetite. Have you ever heard of this? Thank you.
Answer Hi Ruth,
I have not heard of Xanax increasing appetite. Xanax is an anti anxiety medication. Once the anxiety is lifted it is possible the a person's appetite would be affected regardless of the drug taken to relieve the anxiety.
Thank you for using Allexperts
Sincerely,
Eric Brandt, B.Sc. Pharm
