Question How should I change from 20 mg of lexapro to 50 mg of prestiq? I would greatly appreciate your help asap. thanks
Answer Hi Sue,
Lexapro has a 27-32 hr half life. It takes 4-5 days for it to be completely eliminated from the body. You coud decrease its dose while slowly introducing Prestiq or you could have a 2-3 day washout period and then start Prestiq. Has your doctor given you any advice in this regard?
