Question
QUESTION: If you take all of these alka-seltzer plus contac sudafed and tylenol cold mulit-sympton severe would you show a positive for meth? Because i had a drug test and i'm in the military and also a work for a delievery company. Well i got real sick but needed the money so i bought alot of these type of medication   and others for chest and nasal congestion and was taking them non-stop for a week and two days all the way up to taht morning of the urinary testing i need to know because i dont do it never have and i might get kicked out please help thank you so much for your time. hopefully i didnt confuess you if i miss spelled or anything. thank you

ANSWER: Hi Chris,
Most drug tests employed now a days are quite specific and accurate. These tests depend either on antibodies or on chemical identification using very modern gadgetry. I do not think that with sudafed and alka seltzer, you will not test positive for the drugs they are testing. Mainly they are searching for the illicit use of drugs like opioids, methamphetamine, benzodiazepines, cocaine, or cannabinoids.
Overall I see little reason for you to worry, since these medicines are not likely to land you in trouble, but if something does go wrong lease get back to me.

Answer
Hi Chris,
Instead of sitting a worrying to no end, please do the following:
1. Collect all your recent prscriptions and the medications given to you by your doctor and take them to the testing enter.
2. Tell them that these medcatons have been given to you by a doctor and you are merely following your doctor's advice.
3. Ask them to check the medications for themselves and find the reason why you have tested positve. This will make the testng centr think a bit and may be they will redo the test.
