Good Morning Doc,

I was given as assignment to find out about the above mentioned drug. I read somewhere of a scheduling status. I would like to know, What is Adco-dol and what is this Scheduling Status that was being mentioned...

Hi Letlhogonolo,
Drugs are classified in different schedules depending upon their addictive properties. Both in US and under international law, all drugs are classified in Schedules from I to V. Scheudle I are the most dangerous and V are the safest.

Adco-dol contains the following:

Each tablet contains:
 Paracetamol               450 mg
 Codeine Phosphate         10 mg
 Caffeine                  45 mg
 Doxylamine Succinate       5 mg
This product falls in Schedule II.
