Prior to my pharmacy training I have 3 years hospital experience as a Nurse`s Aide.
I saw a commercial for Wall-Mart that seems too good to be true. According to the commercial, all medications are four dollars a (I assume generic)medication-ten dollars for ninety days worth.
My allegedly excellent medication insurance (Medco) charges co-pays MUCH higher than this.
Is the Wall-Mart claim legitimate? If so, isn't it better than any medication insurance?
Many thanks,
Steve
Answer The commercial for Wal-Mart, as well as my own employer, Kroger, each offer approximately 300 generic medication at quantities that they specify to be a normal 1 month supply for $4 or normal 3 month supply for $10. I know Kroger has a link to the $4/$10 list on their webpage "www.kroger.com". This will give you the latest drugs with their specific quantities and prices. These prices are often cheaper than other insurance if the drugs are included in the list.
