QUESTION:  I found a script  that has exp 9/01. Filled 7/00. would it be safe to use temporary for shoulder/bicep muscle pain. Also knee pain.

ANSWER: Hi Ellen,
I assume the scrip expired in 2001, in which case I would not advice you to take it. It woudl have deteriorated very significantly over the time past expiry.

Hi Ellen,
May be. It is difficult to tell, the drug has expired 11 months ago and it is not a stable drug. Some drugs are more stable than others and deteriorate very slowly but not cephalexin. It gets damaged even if it is not stored properly. I would not rely on it.
