Question
How long does it take before you start to notice improvement in your symptoms when taking iron pills for iron-deficiency anemia ? I've been on it for about a month now and still don't see any changes to my symptoms.

Hi Jessica,
It could take up to 3 months for the iron stores and the anemia to resolve to the point where symptoms improve. You will need also to have a follow-up blood test to assess the effectiveness of the treatment.
