i would like to now if it is safe to take reductil slimming tablet the same time as h r t tablets

Hi Liz,
One of the biggest protectors against heart dsease is estrogen, that is why the risk of heart disease is very low for women. After menopause estrogen formations stops, hence women are advised HRT to combat the strange effects of sudden stoppage of estrogen. Basically women in the post menopausal period are more prone to heart disease than those before menopause.
For this reason in post menopausal women we do not recommend drugs like phentermine which increase the load on the heart. However reductil contains sibutramine which is not a cardiac risk. For this reason I feel that reductil can be taken safely with HRT.
