Question
I have been on synthroid 75 mcg for a year now and ever since i began taking i have gained weight, any where from 10-15 lbs. Is it safe to take the diet med. hydroxycut along with synthroid? And is it common for people to gain weight while on synthroid?

Hi Trisha,
People on thyroid hormone usually lose weight. Are you taking any other medications? What age are you? Are you menopausal/post menopausal? There have been rcent reports of liver damage with some Hydroxycut products. I would avoid it.
