Question So I just started this type of birth control last month. I went to go and get my NuvaRing today at about 2:30 P.M. ish or so. Well I forgot it went in the fridge and put it in my bathroom drawer. There is no sun and it was not hot today but I just realized at 2:00 A.M. that it needed to go in the fridge. Am I still able to use it? Will it still work? Should I get a new one? Is there a chance it will not work as well if I would have just put it in the fridge right away?
Answer Once NuvaRing has been dispensed to you it can be stored at room temperature (between 59-86 F) for up to 4 months. NuvaRing must be stored in the refrigerator for long term storage. The NuvaRing that you have will be OK as long as it was not exposed to extremely not temperatures.
