Question
I was prescribed adipex to lose weight.  My sister takes cymbalta and wellbutrin.  She tries to get me to give her some of my adipex.  I won't, I was told you are not supposed to mix these drugs.  If so, can you tell me why and what could happen?

Answer
Hi Monique,
You did right. Adipex is a CNS stimulant while cymbalta and wellbutrin depress the CNS. Mixing both types of drugs can lead to odd behaviour which is not predictable and differs from individual to individual. While some do not suffer from it other have hallucinations, dizziness, fainting etc.
