Question in recent events not for myself but a family member had a UA and tested Positive for THC from eating Poppy Seeds. i want to know what other foods have been known to test positive on a UA for THC. In defense of the theory that food other then marijuana can not test positive, that theory has been proven false. so what other foods can do this?
Answer Hi Tiffanie,
I am not aware that poppy seeds contain THC. Poppy is the source of opioids and not cannabis. I am not sure if your information is right. Secondly I am not aware that plants or foods other than cannabis contains THC.
I do not think that by eating poppy seeds one will test positive for THC, for opioids probably yes, THC no.
This is my information, of course I could be wrong. Most of my work is with prescription drugs and I must confess that UA and drugs of abuse are not my speciality.
