Question
"Yes my son has diabetes"

Can he take his pills while smoking?

some of his pills are metformin 500-1000 mg,enalapril and insulin.

"Thanks for any information given to help me"

i also read the bottom of the notes given terms, who ever answers please give me as accurate as you can and i appreciate it.

Answer
Hi Joe,
Smoking does  have  specific harmful effects in patients with diabetes and hypertension. From the medications he is taking it is obvious he has both. Such persons are more prone to cardiac disease and smoking can worsen the risk of cardiac disease. I therefore suggest he should refrain from smoking and best would be if he gives it up totally.
