Question Is Cipro a stronger antibiotic than Z-Pak?
Answer Hi Judy,
Antibiotics are not compared to by strength but by spectrum of activity. Both are broad spectrum and are effective against different bacteria. The choice of antibiotic depends on the culture and sensitivity report of the infection. We sometimes use certain antibiotic empirically by predicting what bacteria is usually responsible for the type of infection.
