My blood test showed slightly lower levels of calcium and vitamin D3 .doctor prescribed i take Evion LC morning and night and shelcal in the afternoon for 6 months.He Also advised me to take injections of eldervit once a week for 6 weeks and Arachitol once a week for 3 weeks.I have finished the course of injections and am taking the tablets regularly.Now suddenly i am experiencing acidity problems. Can it be because of the the tablets i am taking?Thank You in Advance.

Hi Anjana,
There are probably two possible reasons for the acidity you are suffering from. One is due to Evion and calcium and the other is due to a natural progression of your existent problems.
Calcium does cause a reflux rise in acidity, and this has been noted when calcium is used to control acidity. Ca ions also increase HCl output from the stomach. Alternately acidity could be due to an unrelated cause but a natural progression. One way to find out is to stop calcium for a few days and see if acidity reduces.
