Question My husband was taking symvastatin 20mg which was then changed to 10mg, is there any harm in cutting the 20mg tablets he has left in half. Also can he use some past the exp date (3 months) thank you
Answer Dear Mavis
There is no problem cutting simvastatin tablets in half. Also, if the old tablets have been kept free from moisture it is very unlikely that they still will not be completely active but I cannot guarantee this. If it were me I would use them up.
