eric,im 79 year old male with modereate kidney impairment.i don't have kidney desaes, never any proteon in urinebbut using outdated and inaccurate serum creatinine im a stage 3.i have constipation probably from lisinopril and amplodipine c calicium channel blocker.i take Metamucil but it gives me gas works every 3 days.problem is most doctors don't know how differsnt constipation  doctor recommended Colace and miralax.from what I read both are bad for kidneys and throw off electrolites.from your vast knowledge is there a constation product or medicine that does not harm kidneys, screw uo your colon or effect your elecolites I don't believe that product exists and I take blood thinners so I have to watch interactios.

Hi  Frrank,
Miralax is a good recommendation. It will not affect your kidneys or interfere with electrplyte balance. Take it apart from other medications. Your doctor made a good recommendation.
Thank you for using Allexperts.
