eric,I am a diabetic and currently are using tolnaftate anti-fungal cream for mild athletes foot, does this usually work to clear   athletes foot by   diabetics dontwant to take oral anti-fungal pills.

Hi Howard,
Tolnaftate is an old anti fungal. It is effective in most cases of athlete foot. You do not have to have systemic treatment. There are newer topical eatments that may be more effective than tolnaftate. These include topical clotrimazole and topical terbinafine.
Thank you for using Allexperts.
