Hello Mr. Eric Brandt

I take minimum dose antidepressant Clomipramine 25 mg . Is it okey if I start taking minimum dose Lithium ~450 mg along with it?

Thank you,

Hi Sam,
Lithium 450 mg is not a minimum dose. The combination of clomipramine and lithium needs to be very carefully monitored due to potential interaction. Preferably, alternate therapy should be sought. The combination can result in excessive serotonin effect and tremors.
Thank you for using Allexperts.
