Question Hi, quick question regarding Ambien CR and alcohol. I know that you are not supposed to mix the two but my question is if I have just 1/2 to 1 glass of wine with dinner and then take the Ambien aprox. 3 hours later, Is this ok? I suspect that it is but am nervous after reading possible interactions. If it matters I am on the small side (5'3" and aprox 120 but they are also only 6.25mg tablets) Thank you!
Answer Dear Rachel
I would have to say it is OK. It is normally not recommended to take alcohol with other CNS depressants but in most intstances and in most people judicious use of alcohol will cause no problems. Have your glass of wine (this is well within safe limits for you) and enjoy.
