Question I recentlty started trinessa birth control. It contains 14 blue pills, 7 white pills and 7 green pills. I just started the birth control last Sunday, but during the course of the week i accidently took 2 of the white pills in replace of the blue ones. Will the birth control still be effective? Also, last night the condom broke. What are the chances of me getting pregnant?
Answer If I understand you correctly you have been taking birth control pills for about 8 or 9 days, but mistakenly took the wrong pills and also the condom broke, right? If all this is correct I would not count on the birth control pills for effectiveness. Unfortunately there is no way to predict your chances or "odds" of getting pregnant. I would recommend using "Plan B", the morning after pill as soon as possible. Until you have completed one full cycle of oral contracepives it is best to use an additional form of birth control, as you were already doing with the condom. Since that method also failed, I would use the next available method to prevent pregnancy.
