Question I recently started trinessa birth control. It contains 14 blue pills, 7 white pills and 7 green pills. I just started the birth control last Sunday, but during the course of the week i accidently took 2 of the white pills in replace of the blue ones. Will the birth control still be effective? Also, last night the condom broke. What are the chances of me getting pregnant?
Answer Dear Brenna
Obviously you need to take the pills in order if however you don't then there is a risk of being unprotected during intercourse. Carry on taking the blue pills until you run out then start the white followed by the green as usual. You will need to get some emergency contraception and you may notice some spotting during the cycle due to the hormone levels being disturbed.
