Question I am currently on Cymbalta, Clonazapem and Loestrin 24. I read all the side effects of Loestrin which I just started a week ago. If I'm already taking the other two meds, should I be feeling increased mood swings, irritableness, anxiety?
Answer It is possible that you may experience and change in mood or mood swings while your body adjusts to being on birth control pills. Some patients who are on no other meds experience mood swings when they start taking birth control pills for the first time. I would be patient and give the pills at least 1 full cycle to see how your body adjusts to them if at all possible. If at any time the mood changes become severe, of course call your doctor as soon as possible. If after a cycle or two of pills the mood swings have not lessened, I would also call your doctor.
