Question I was taking Darvocet for severe abdominal pain and noticed my palms and feet began to itch. After taking it for another day, I have begun to itch all over and the last pill I took was 8 hours ago and I am still itching. Is this normal and how long will this Darvocet stay in my system?
Answer Hi Angela,
I think you have an allergic reaction. It would take upto 24 or 48 hours to subside. Darvocet levels half every 6 hours, so it would take about 48 hours for the levels to go down to stop the reaction. In the mean time you could take an antihistamine like cetirizine. Also make a note not to take Darvocet again, because you might experience the same reaction.
