Question I know most doctors will say don't smoke marijuana, but I want a clinical answer. Is it "safe" t smoke marijuana while taking escitalopram, and is there any acute dangers other than the typical "marijuana is bad for you" stuff?
Answer Honestly, I don't have a clinical answer for you.
I have patients that smoke weed on a daily basis, their whole life, with almost every drug combination known to man. They seem to be fine. Some people get nervous and paranoid, and don't feel good. Everyone is different.
It's only dangerous because its smoke you are inhaling and it damages the lungs. Otherwise, if you enjoy it, and your not hurting anyone, go for it.
Make sure it is not sprayed or contaminated with any chemicals, and do not drive when high.
Ultimately its your life, and your body so your going to do what you want anyway,,,right?
