Question My question is I take no presecription drugs or any illegal drugs but yet I came up positive for Benzos. The only thing that I have taken in the last few days would be nyquil and Excedrin Migraine pills. Is there anyway that I could come up positive just by taking those. I would really appreciate any information that you can give me or direct me in the location that I need to go in.
Answer There is no reason why Nyquil or Excedrin Migraine would have caused a false positive drug screen for benzodiazepines. I would question the chain of evidence in the handling of your specimen to make sure the result you were given was in fact your sample if you know there is absolutely no way you could have ingested any benzodiazepines. Neither of these products could have caused a false positive reaction. For the most complete information on drug testing I have been able to find go to "www.erowid.org"
