Question Could you tell me if the active med pseudoephepherdrine in Tylenol Sinus and its generics is the same thing as ephedra? I am very concrened. Thanks.
Answer Ephedra is the Latin name of the plant that contains both ephedrine and pseudoephedrine are found. A 100 milligrammes of Ephedra will contain approximately 5 milligrammes of these alkaloids. Pseudophedrine is a much less powerful stimulant than ephedrine hence its common use in decongestants.
