Question
I have taken Estrace 1mg for several years and last year the doctor lowered it to .5mg.  Because of cost of office calls, etc. I purchased Neradin Estrogendos Conjugados 0.625mg in Mexico. I have taken Estrace for hormone replacement since 1993. I am 61 years old.  Is the Neradin the same as the Estrace?  Thank you, Mrs. Donna Garvin

Answer
Hi Donna,
Estrace is not the same as conjugated estrogens. Estrace is one estrogen called 17-beta-estradiol. Conjugated estrogens are a collection of estrogens and they  have the same therapeutic benefit as Estrace in relieving menopausal symptoms. Estrace is identical to the estradiol produced by the human body.
Thank you for using Allexperts
