Question Hello. I have an old prescription of Vicodin that is about 2 years over the expiration date. Is it still safe to keep and take this? Does vicodin become toxic after time?
Answer Hi Chris,
As far as I know Vicodin does not deteriorate to toxic substances. Upon expiry the manufacturer does not guarantee potency greater than 90% of label claim. How much potency is lost beyond that date is an unknown. I recommend you obtain a fresher supply.
Thank you for using Allexperts
Sincerely,
