Question My son has some expired amoxicillan. Date is 12/16/06 a month old. Would this medicine still be able to be used? Would it still be effective? What are the risks of an adult using this medicine?
Answer Dear Joseph
Amoxycillin in liquid form deteriorates very quickly even when refrigerated. Please throw it down the drain as it will be useless as an antibiotic. Whether or not it would be dangerous or not is a matter of conjecture.
